Mark Holland began his career working for a local real estate firm in Houston with only one other real estate agent. He watched the agency grow in size and stature to over 40 agents. After 6 years he teamed up with Darren Moore to create Holland Moore Properties to implement their ideas—ideas that would set their company apart and above all other real estate companies.
His love for architecture and the history of neighborhoods and buildings has made him an incredible resource for buyers and sellers. Even more valuable is his passion for helping people. His career path almost led him to medical school in order to continue his volunteer work with mentally impaired patients.
“Finding the right house for my clients is somewhat like looking for a lost treasure,” says Holland . “You know it’s out there, you just have to be smart enough and care enough to go the distance for your clients. That’s why I sometimes talk my buyers out of properties. I encourage them to wait until we’ve found them the perfect place.”

Darren Moore is responsible for business development and growth in serving the firm’s clients in residential & commercial sales. Darren’s experience helps him understand the concerns of buyers and sellers in today’s market. Finding the right property that will continue to appreciate, estimating the current market value, and analyzing neighborhood trends are just some of the skills that he has honed. He enjoys working with buyers and sellers.
Prior to his real estate career, Darren spent 7 years in the United States Air Force and 10 years as an information technology manager in Philadelphia and Arizona . This experience successfully prepared him for the pivotal role he now plays in with Holland Moore Properties. Moreover, these experiences have helped him maintain high levels of professionalism and integrity for which he is known. Darren study computer science and photography at the University of Arizona in 1994.
Darren is currently active member in Urban Land Institute, Houston Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. Also an active member with the 147th Fighter Wing at the Texas Air National Guard in Ellington Field. |

Jon Purpura joined Holland Moore Properties after beginning his real estate career in Washington, DC, concentrating on the diplomatic community. Jon, a native Italian speaker, speaks six languages and has worked and lived all over the world. Jon resided in Cape Town, South Africa until 1997 when he moved to Houston for a professional opportunity.
After attending Ohio State University, focusing his studies in International Business and Japanese, Jon began his career in International Marketing. International Business though was not Jon’s only craze, so was real estate as he soon discovered.
Although Jon continues in his international activities, international real estate included, Jon decided to continue his real estate career in Houston. Jon joined hollandmoore properties because personalized service is essential. His enthusiasm and attention to detail has earned Jon the loyalty of many clients.
